Ana is a Lecturer in Urban Water Management in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. She has a first class degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Before commencing her MSc, Ana worked at the same University as a teaching assistant in Fluid Mechanics and Hydrometry. She obtained a masters degree with distinction in Hydrology for Environmental Management from Imperial College London in 2009 and a PhD in Earth Science and Engineering from the same university in 2013.
Ana’s research interests are in developing analytical and numerical models for the simulation of urban and subsurface systems, which can be implemented in the areas of urban hydrology and urban ecosystems, groundwater-urban infrastructure interactions, and urban water and energy use.
Ana is also the Outrearch Coordinator for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She is coordinating activities with a primary aim of getting young people excited by civil engineering and the prospect of studying it here at Imperial.
